How to Prepare Your Apartment for Pest Control Treatment
Calling a professional exterminator is the right step to solve your pest problem, but the success of the treatment heavily relies on your preparation. Cold fogging technology reaches deep into crevices, but you must ensure the technician has access and your belongings are safe.
Key Steps Before Treatment
For kitchens (cockroaches), all open food and dishware must be placed in the fridge or sealed bags. For bedrooms (bed bugs), strip all bedding and wash it at a high temperature (60°C). Move furniture slightly away from the walls. Most importantly, all people and pets must leave the apartment during the treatment.
Post-Treatment Care
After leaving the apartment closed for 2-3 hours, ventilate thoroughly. Only wipe down frequently touched surfaces like tables and handles with a soapy solution. Do not wash the floors near the baseboards for at least two weeks to allow the residual insecticide to continue killing the pests.
